- I have now eaten more than half a jar of Patak's Mixed Pickle today.
Nice, but nowhere near as good as their chilli pickle (with ginger in, mmmm).

- Found a reference to something called RDBA (Remote Database Access).
The name makes it sound like something I'd be interested in, but I can't
find anything about it other than the FOLDOC entry.

- Someone's today registered a Debian ITP for the Perl ‘ooolib’ library
(apparently for making OpenOffice.org documents). It ends up with the
daft package name libooolib-perl.

- Reading Royal Assassin, 2nd volume of The Farseer Trilogy,
by Robin Hobb last night. I was surprised to look up and find it fully

- Damn, bluebeard still won't respond after a reboot. It's infuriating
having a machine broken but not being able to look at it. I should have
kept it in Leeds.

- Still no luck from bluebeard, after a reboot. I might have to go to

- Just bought The Kodansha Kanji Learner's Dictionary. It's going to
take me a while to work out just how to use it. I noticed that Jeffrey Friedl,

- Just had an idea: it would be useful to have a little tool to take an
