DPChallenge: Apple

This is my best attempt for the ‘Apple’ challenge, unless I can think of anything better in the next few days.

A red apple sitting on top of the turret of a model stone castle, with the castle and background mostly desaturated to black and white, but not the apple.

This was taken at a ‘model village’ in the Harlow Carr RHS gardens near Harrogate. I desaturated it in The Gimp, leaving only the red component, and a little yellow and magenta, to highlight the apple. A few bits of red show up on the castle and grass and spoil the effect a bit. Also, it probably would have been better if I'd taken the shot from below to make the castle look bigger.

Just took the annual web design survey that AListApart do. I don't realy consider myself to be a web designer, but I have been doing a lot of HTML and CSS lately.

Strange, there appears to be a bare-knuckle boxing match going on in the field outside my flat. Wish they wouldn't make so much noise about it.
