I went out early in the morning yesterday hoping to get some nice sunrise pictures in Hyde Park, but I wasn't quite early enough and it was very overcast. But I wondered about a bit and ended up heading in the direction of Meanwood. I found a Metro ‘temporary bus stop’ in a rather unlikely place:

Then I found something called Meanwood Urban Farm, which has a couple of cows and a couple of horses. The cows were behind a fence, and I didn't quite dare to climb over to get closer (although the cows didn't look like they would be particularly bothered), so I couldn't zoom in enough and got quite a lot of shake. This was the best I could do:

But the horses are tied up in a field which you can just walk in to. They were slightly more nervous (mainly I think due to some idiot making a lot of noise on a motorbike nearby) but they let me get close enough to touch them, so I had some better results:

As I was walking towards home, taking a different route through some suburban streets, a woman pulled up next to me in her car. I thought she was going to ask directions, but she started quizzing me about what I was doing wandering around at 6am with a camera. “Only there's been a lot of pedophilia around here,” she said. Apparently pedophiles can be identified by the large cameras and tripods they carry. She sat in her car at the side of the road until I'd gone out of sight, so I can only assume she was waiting for me to do something incriminating.
